We love the Louvre because of our surprise for the art and intelligence of human; we love to walk in the winding gravel road in MOUFFTARD at night because of the smell of coffee out of coffee shops with soft light; we love those building around the Seine and the Eiffel Tower for they are the symbol of romantic in our memories; we love the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs pavilion for their prosperity and spectacular in Paris-style; we love the French for their smiling faces and warm French kisses can be seen everywhere; we like to sit in the subway for the beautiful music made by those young people who make a living out of their art…but what we like most is shopping in Paris because of its Galeries Lafayette, PCD PRINTEMPS and La Vallee Shopping Village…
Galeries Lafayette
How can we miss Lafayette when we are in the capital of art–Paris?
Lafayette department store in Paris was born in 1893. It locates in No.44, Boulevard Haussmann, next to the Paris Opera House. Lafayette once striked the world for a long time for it looked like a palace decorated with Luxurious sensation. Under the giant carved Byzantine dome, people came and went away as if they were attending a medieval party, making shopping the enjoyment of art and material.
The Spring Department Store PRINTEMPS
PRINTEMPS, built in 1865, is right next to Lafayette department store, which is the reflection of the creative ideas and modern culture in Paris. Interestingly, goods in PCD will never be the same with the goods in Lafayette, which is the game rules that will be obeys by people ranging from procurement staff to suppliers.
In face, the building of Spring department store itself is the historical and cultural heritage so that the customers can always go shopping and feel the French culture and history in the same time. There is no wonder that the buildings of Spring Department Sore was classified as historical monuments. Many people who have been there are amazed at its magnificent “Art Nouveau” dome.
